Practical Module 2

Practical Module 2 is conducted after students have completed Manuals 1-5, Practical Module 1, and the Special Courses.

Practical Module 2 is a supervision component. The aim of this Module is for the School Supervisor to see the student work with clients in a variety of situations and for the student to receive feedback from the supervisor. It is also a bridging time preparing the student to move from being a student to being a graduate.

This most important Module is the last stage of the Course before a student graduates and receives a Diploma from the School.

Practical Module 2 Components

Students have supervision with four different clients with different problem areas, with three sessions for each client. This gives the supervisor a good overview of a student’s competency in a variety of situations. The School provides very clear guidelines for what is expected to be covered in each session.

Supervision takes place in three ways.

a) Sessions with a supervisor sitting in on your sessions with clients.
b) Recorded sessions with clients sent to the School.
c) Written reports sent to the School.

For students who live some distance away from the School’s assessors, there is the provision for these students to use audio / visual for their sessions that require a supervisor’s presence.
