Practical Module 1This is a very important module as it is the first opportunity students have to learn practical components of hypnosis. The School provides a variety of learning environments and tasks for each of the Practical Module 1 Components and there is the provision to spend time with individual students dependent on their needs at the Practical, in order for all students attending to complete the Practical successfully. LocationPractical Module 1 is held at either Thames or Hamilton and runs for four days, Thursday to Sunday. TimetablingAt the beginning of the year the School timetables one Practical Module 1 for that year however at times there is the necessity to hold more than one Practical Module 1 per year. There is some flexibility to take into account the progress of individual students through Manuals 1-5. ContentThroughout the four days there is a mixture of lectures, demonstrations and a considerable amount of practical work. Practical work is done with other students and also members of the public brought in to give students some experience of working with strangers under the guidance of the tutors. This provides a very unique learning experience for the students in a very safe environment.

Practicing CertificateUpon the successful completion of Practical Module 1, students receive a Practicing Certificate from the School. This Practicing Certificate entitles the student to commence work as a clinical hypnotherapist including charging clients a fee for their services. Students are not permitted to work with clients with specialized problems such as pain management or regression until they have completed the special courses for these topics. At the Practical students are given advice on how to start up in practice and how to get going. After the Practical students are required to keep in contact with the Directors for ongoing assistance and mentoring for their work with clients. Actual clinical practice provides a lot of learning opportunities and the Directors are available to assist students in their clinical work. From Practical Module 1, students are given assistance and guidance to ease them into successful clinical practice. Meals and AccommodationStudents are required to source their own meals and accommodation. The School provides tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the Practical |
