Special CoursesThere are some subject areas that the School deems to be specialized areas and these require more in depth knowledge and training. The School covers these topics in Special Courses. Students are not permitted to work in these areas until they have completed the Special Courses that relate to these areas. The Special Courses that the School conducts are in the following areas:-
Stress Management and Human Sexuality Courses are held in one weekend. Self Hypnosis and Pain Management Courses are held in one weekend. The Regression Special Course is held over one weekend. Students must have completed Manuals 1-5 before attending the Stress Management / Human Sexuality Special Course Weekend. LocationThese Special Courses are held in either Thames or Hamilton. TimetablesThe Courses usually start at 6.30 on a Friday evening and finish at 4.00 on the Sunday. Meals & AccommodationTea, coffee and biscuits are provided by the School. Students are required to source their own meals and accommodation. Stress Management CourseStress Management is a natural part of the hypnotherapeutic process therefore this course is held before the Practical Module 1. This is a theory only course and covers the following areas:-
Human Sexuality CourseHypnotherapist's often encounter sexual problems in clinic work therefore this Course is held before the Practical Module 1. This School believes that it is important that hypnotherapist's have a wide knowledge of the theory of human sexuality and most importantly how to deal with sexual problems in the hypnotherapy clinic. It is a theory only Course and covers the following areas:-
Self Hypnosis CourseThis Course is a mixture of lectures, demonstration and practice. Hypnotherapist's will often teach their clients self hypnosis for a variety of presenting problems so it is important that students know how and when to do this. Students get the opportunity to practice with members of the public. This Course covers the following areas:-
Pain Management CourseWorking with pain management is a very specialized area and requires a high degree of skill in implementing hypnotic techniques for pain management and formulating a pain management programme to suit the individual’s client’s needs and circumstances. This Course is a mixture of lectures, demonstration and practice. Students practice with each other and also with members of the public. This Course covers the following areas:-
Regression CourseRegression is not a hypnotic practice that is used widely in practice however it is a very effective tool which hypnotherapist's use from time to time. It is important that students are able to assess when it is necessary to use regression and most importantly that they can use it effectively. There is a high degree of skill level in working with regression. Therefore this topic is covered exclusively in one weekend. The Regression Course is a mixture of lectures, demonstration and practice. Students practice with each other and also with members of the public. The Course covers the following areas:-
